Sheepskin has long been used as a support surface to sustain people who are bed-ridden. Research has shown that with proper support surfaces, such as sheepskin, bed-ridden individuals are often able to alleviate some of the complications of immobility. Sheepskins help maintain air circulation, thus aiding in the prevention of bedsores.
